This bill, the "No Visas for Violent Criminals Act," aims to subject aliens (non-U.S. citizens) convicted of certain crimes to expedited removal from the United States. Specifically, it would amend the Immigration and Nationality Act to make aliens deportable if they are convicted of crimes related to their conduct during protests at institutions of higher education or religious facilities, or involving the defacement, vandalism, or destruction of federal memorials and monuments, or the intentional obstruction of highways, roads, bridges, or tunnels. If an alien is convicted of such a deportable crime, their visa would be immediately canceled, and they would be removed from the U.S. within 60 days of their conviction.
