AN ACT To amend the Defense Production Act of 1950 with respect to foreign investments in United States agriculture, and for other purposes.

AI Summary

This bill amends the Defense Production Act of 1950 to include the Secretary of Agriculture as a member of the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) for transactions involving agricultural land, agriculture biotechnology, and the agriculture industry. It also requires CFIUS to review certain reportable agricultural land transactions involving foreign persons from China, North Korea, Russia, or Iran, and take appropriate action if the transaction is deemed a "covered transaction" under the Act.
