Bill Summary
This bill appropriates $75,000 to the Division of Criminal Justice in the Department of Law and Public Safety to fund the Human Trafficking Survivor's Assistance Fund and effectuate the proposes set forth when the fund was established. The "Human Trafficking Survivor's Assistance Fund" is a non-lapsing, dedicated fund in the General Fund, which is administered by the Attorney General. All monies deposited in the fund is required to be used for the provision of services to victims of human trafficking, to promote awareness of human trafficking, and the development, maintenance, revision, and distribution of training course and other educational materials, and the operation of educational or training programs, in accordance with sections 11 and 19 of P.L. 2013, c. 51 (C.2C:34-1.2 and C.2C:13-12).
