The task force is mandated to hold at least one public hearing and will receive administrative support from the Office of the Secretary of Higher Education. Within one year of organizing, the task force must submit a final report of its findings and recommendations to the Governor and Legislature, after which it will dissolve. The bill appropriates $200,000 from the General Fund to support the task force's work, with the option to hire external experts as needed.
