This bill reauthorizes the PROTECT Our Children Act of 2008, which established the National Strategy for Child Exploitation Prevention and Interdiction and the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force Program. The key provisions of this bill include: 1) Requiring the National Strategy to be updated every four years instead of every two years, and expanding its required contents to include more detailed analysis of current and future trends, goals and strategic solutions, and resource estimates for combating child exploitation. 2) Expanding the ICAC Task Force Program to include Tribal and military law enforcement, and providing legal liability protections for ICAC task forces related to prioritization decisions on investigative leads. 3) Increasing the minimum funding requirement for ICAC task force training, technology, and other support from 20% to at least 20% of the total appropriations. 4) Authorizing increased funding for the ICAC Task Force Program, rising from $70 million in FY2025 to $90 million in FY2027. 5) Requiring providers to include all supplemental data in their mandatory reports of suspected child sexual abuse material under federal law.
