This bill establishes the Office of Veterans Experience within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The Office will be led by a Chief Veterans Experience Officer who reports directly to the VA Secretary. The key functions of the Office include: 1) Improving the experience of veterans in accessing and using VA benefits, 2) Identifying reasons why eligible veterans do not use certain benefits, 3) Reporting on this data to Congress, 4) Engaging with veterans, and 5) Collecting demographic data on veterans. The bill also requires the Government Accountability Office to review the effectiveness of the VA's 1-800-MyVA411 hotline.
