AI Summary
This bill proposes several changes to the ad valorem (property) tax system in Louisiana. It defines key terms like "business inventory" and "manufacturer", provides various property tax exemptions, establishes a special assessment level for certain property owners, adjusts millage rates, and allows parishes to reduce the percentage of fair market value applicable to business inventory. The bill also directs the Louisiana State Law Institute to renumber and correct statutory references within the relevant property tax laws. The changes in this bill are contingent on the adoption of a proposed constitutional amendment contained in a separate bill.
