This bill amends Section 2534 of the Revised Judicature Act of 1961 in Michigan. It removes the sunset provision that would have expired the annual inflation adjustment of the rates charged for publishing legal notices in newspapers. The bill maintains the current maximum rates of $20.50 per folio for the first publication and $8.45 per folio for each subsequent publication, with a minimum cost of $59.00 for notices published 2 or more times and $44.00 for a single publication. The Department of Treasury will continue to adjust these rates annually to reflect the percentage increase in the United States Consumer Price Index.
