This bill allows school districts in Texas to provide education and informational materials about endometriosis and menstrual disorders to students at grade levels deemed appropriate by the district. The State Board of Education must make these informational materials available to school districts upon request. The bill is set to be implemented in the 2025-2026 school year and will take effect either immediately if it receives a two-thirds vote in the Texas Legislature or on September 1, 2025, if it does not receive the immediate voting threshold. The bill defines "age-appropriate" as materials suitable to particular ages or age groups based on typical cognitive, emotional, and behavioral development.
