This bill directs the Joint Interim Standing Committee on Growth and Infrastructure to conduct a comprehensive study of the Nevada Commission for the Reconstruction of the V & T Railway during the 2025-2026 interim period. The V & T Railway is a historic railroad located in Carson City and Storey County, and this bill requires the Committee to evaluate the Commission's current structure, duties, powers, and long-term financial sustainability. The study must produce a report for the 84th Legislative Session that includes specific recommendations, such as whether legislation should be proposed to: reorganize the Commission's structure, modify its duties, improve its financial viability, or potentially terminate the Commission and address the disposition of its assets. The Committee is also instructed to consider recommendations for actions that could be taken by the Commission or other entities to enhance its financial stability, and must take into account any relevant legal opinions from the Attorney General when formulating these recommendations.
