This bill amends the District of Columbia School Reform Act of 1995 to require members of the Board of Trustees of a public charter school to complete a training program on best practices for school board governance. The training, coordinated by the Public Charter School Board and the Office of the State Superintendent, must be completed within 90 days of a member's election or appointment and repeated annually. The training covers topics such as instruction and academic programs, personnel, fiscal management, operations, governance, and relevant federal and district laws and regulations.
