This bill amends the existing law governing the Southwestern Travis County Groundwater Conservation District by increasing the maximum production fee rate that can be charged for water withdrawal from wells. The bill raises this maximum rate to 50 cents per thousand gallons, effectively allowing the district to triple its potential fee collection.
