Specifically, tenants can receive up to $10,000 for a single-section mobile home or $15,000 for a multi-section mobile home to cover the costs of relocating within a 100-mile radius, or they can choose to abandon their mobile home and receive 50% of the maximum moving expense. To fund this account, mobile home owners will pay an annual assessment of $1.50 per $100 of their mobile home's taxable value, and the assessment will be collected alongside personal property taxes. The account will also receive revenue from campground and trailer court license fees, and an initial appropriation of $500,000 from the general fund. The bill includes provisions to waive the assessment if the account balance exceeds $1 million and reinstate it if the balance falls below $500,000. The Department of Commerce will administer the account, potentially contracting with a nonprofit entity, and the program is set to operate from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2029.
