This bill amends the Volunteer Firefighters' Compensation Act by increasing the monthly pension benefit for volunteer firefighters from $175 to $200. The bill maintains the existing calculation method for partial pension benefits, which is based on years of service (up to 20 years), and preserves the existing provisions for additional benefits for members who serve beyond 20 years. Specifically, for members with 20-30 years of service, the pension will increase by $7.50 per month for each additional year of active service.
