This bill creates a comprehensive data dashboard on the Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board's website to track and publicly report information about regulated substances including liquor, cannabis, cigarettes, tobacco, and vapor products. The dashboard will include detailed information such as compliance rates for age-related sales restrictions, citation numbers for sales violations, youth survey data about substance use and perceptions, health care expenditures related to these substances, annual deaths caused by substance use, funding for prevention and treatment programs, tax and licensing revenue, demographic usage metrics, and health equity information. Importantly, all personally identifiable information will be redacted, and the dashboard must be updated at least annually. The bill requires the board to work with the Department of Health and Health Care Authority to compile this data, but explicitly stipulates that all implementation must occur within existing agency resources, meaning no additional funding can be used to create or maintain the dashboard. If certain data is unavailable or cannot be collected without additional resources, those specific data points do not need to be included.
