This bill modifies the appointment process for the State Board of Stationary Engineers by requiring that the Governor appoint board members with both the advice of the Secretary and the advice and consent of the Senate. Specifically, the board will continue to consist of eight members with a diverse composition: three stationary engineers, one representative from the boiler manufacture and design industry, one boiler owner, two consumer members, and one ex officio, nonvoting member who is the Chief Boiler Inspector or their designee.
