Importantly, the bill gives registrants the ability to request deletion of their information from a contracting party's files, with these specific exceptions. The changes aim to provide more clarity and controlled exceptions for the use of vehicle registration data while still protecting individual privacy. The bill will take effect immediately and apply only to contracts executed on or after its effective date.
