If these conditions are not met when the dog is recovered by a dog control or law enforcement officer, the owner, trainer, or handler may be charged with violating local laws regarding dogs running at large. The bill aims to provide clarity and protection for hunters and their dogs while maintaining local municipalities' ability to enforce dog-related ordinances.
