This bill establishes a Native American Education Opportunity Program that allows recognized Native American Tribes to create education savings account (ESA) programs for eligible Native American students. Under this program, Tribes can receive federal funds to deposit $8,000 annually into individual student accounts, which can be used for a wide range of educational expenses including private school tuition, tutoring, online learning programs, educational technology, standardized test fees, educational therapy services, textbooks, uniforms, and even college savings contributions. Eligible students are primarily those who previously attended Bureau of Indian Education schools or are preparing to enter such schools.
