This bill requires local education agencies (LEAs) in Utah to implement comprehensive firearm safety instruction for students from kindergarten through high school, with specific requirements for frequency and approach. The instruction must be provided at least three times during elementary school (kindergarten through 6th grade) and twice during middle and high school, with each session tailored to be developmentally appropriate. LEAs can deliver the instruction through live instruction, videos, online materials, existing hunter safety courses, or within health or physical education curricula.
