This bill establishes a municipal severe storm relief fund specifically for Rockaway, Queens, aimed at addressing damages caused by Hurricane Sandy from October 29 to November 3, 2012. The fund will be administered by the Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services and will provide grants to help repair public infrastructure such as roads, bridges, boardwalks, drainage, and flood mitigation systems. Municipalities can apply for grants to cover up to 50% of unreimbursed repair costs, with applications due by November 3, 2028.
