It also provides a comprehensive definition of artificial intelligence as a machine-based system capable of making predictions, recommendations, or decisions using machine and human inputs, including technologies like machine learning and natural language processing. If an AI system owner fails to provide the required warning, they can be fined up to $1,000 for each violation, with each user who does not receive the notice counting as a separate violation. The bill aims to increase transparency and help users understand the potential limitations and risks of AI-generated content. The law will go into effect 90 days after it is signed.
