Advisory council members will serve initial terms of two to four years and cannot serve more than two consecutive terms. The bill also requires annual reporting on the programs' activities, student participation, and employment outcomes. The changes are set to take effect on May 7, 2025, and aim to enhance collaboration between higher education institutions and employers to meet state workforce development needs.
