This bill proposes to modify existing Connecticut state law regarding wrecker (tow truck) lighting by allowing wreckers to use steady blue lights when the vehicle is stationary, in addition to the currently permitted yellow or amber lights. The purpose of this change is to increase the visibility and safety of wreckers when they are stoppedionary at roadside locations helping disabled vehicles or clearing accident scenes. By adding blue lights to authorized lighting options, to the bill aims to make wreckers more noticeable to other drivers, potentially could reduce accidents and the risk of secondary collor injuries to ttow vehicle truck on the side of the road.
