This bill amends Delaware's election law by establishing a new process for reviewing campaign contribution and expenditure reports. Specifically, the Department of Elections will be required to review all campaign finance reports within 60 days of filing to check for potential violations of election regulations. When a report is initially submitted, it will be published on the Department's website and marked as "Submitted but Not Reviewed". If the Department finds no violations, the report will be marked "Reviewed and Final". If violations are discovered, the Department must work directly with the candidate to correct these issues. Once the candidate submits an amended report without violations, the report's status will be updated to "Reviewed and Final" on the Department's website. The new review process will apply to all campaign contribution and expenditure reports submitted after March 1, 2026, providing a more transparent and systematic approach to monitoring campaign finance compliance in Delaware.
