This resolution honors Tom "Doc" Weddle, a dedicated wild turkey hunter from Bloomington, Indiana, who has achieved a remarkable milestone in his sport. Over the past forty years, Weddle has completed five U.S. Super Slams, which means he has successfully harvested a turkey in each of the forty-nine states with a wild turkey hunting season. Beyond this incredible achievement, he has also recorded multiple Grand Slams by bagging all four turkey subspecies and is known for his hunting skills, patience, and passion. Weddle takes three months off from his carpentry work each spring to pursue turkey hunting and has further contributed to the hunting community by writing four volumes of "Turkey Tails and Tales from Across the U.S.A." The resolution recognizes his exceptional commitment to the sport, his conservation efforts, and his status as a highly respected member of the wild turkey hunting community, ultimately congratulating him on his extraordinary accomplishments and wishing him continued success in future hunting endeavors.
