Over its 30-year history, Jumpstart has trained more than 50,000 college students and community volunteers, transforming the lives of over 123,000 preschool children nationwide. In New York City specifically, Jumpstart recruits volunteers from 10 universities and colleges, serving nearly 1,500 children during the school year and an additional 500 children during summer programs.
