This bill amends Mississippi's alcohol sales regulations by allowing holders of package retailer's permits to sell alcoholic beverages on Sunday, removing the current prohibition on Sunday sales. Specifically, the bill modifies Section 67-1-83 of the Mississippi Code by deleting the language that currently prevents package retailers from selling alcoholic beverages on Sundays. The existing law already restricts package alcohol sales to between 10:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m., and these time limitations will remain in place.
