This bill amends Mississippi's milk regulation laws to explicitly allow independent or partial owners of cows, goats, or sheep to use raw milk from their own animals for personal consumption and to sell raw milk directly to consumers under specific conditions. While the bill provides more flexibility for small-scale dairy producers and animal owners, it maintains provisions that prohibit selling raw milk for institutional use and continues to impose penalties for violations of milk sales regulations. The new provisions will take effect on July 1, 2025, giving producers and regulators time to prepare for the changes.
