AI Summary

This bill requires all state agencies, departments, institutions, and political subdivisions in Mississippi that provide children's programs or services to create an annual detailed itemized list with comprehensive information. The list must include a description of each program (specifying target population and geographical region), a resource map of all federal and state funds received, performance measures and outcomes, operational costs, and the number of children served. By September 1st each year, these entities must submit their lists to the John C. Stennis Institute of Government at Mississippi State University, which will then compile all the information into a single, organized document. By December 1st, the Stennis Institute must provide this compiled document to specific committee chairs in both the Mississippi House of Representatives and Senate, including those overseeing Appropriations, Education, Public Health, and related committees. The bill aims to increase transparency and accountability in children's services by creating a comprehensive overview of state-funded programs. The provisions of this bill will take effect on July 1, 2025.
