This resolution honors Chief David M. Reynolds for his extensive and dedicated service to the New Hartford Fire Department and community, recognizing his remarkable life and achievements. David M. Reynolds joined the fire department in 1967 and served in numerous leadership roles over more than 50 years, including positions ranging from Lieutenant to Chief (1981-2005), and currently serves as Director of the New Hartford Fire Department Benevolent Association. Beyond his firefighting career, he was elected as a New Hartford Town Councilman in 2006 and has also served as President of the Oneida County Fire Chiefs Association and Chief of Utica's Engine 11 Foundation. The resolution highlights his commitment to public service, noting his contributions to civic and charitable endeavors, and acknowledges his personal life, including his 56-year marriage to Doreen and his four daughters, four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. The legislative body formally recognizes Reynolds by pausing to honor him on the occasion of a park being named in his recognition and will transmit a copy of the resolution to him as a formal acknowledgment of his significant community contributions.
