The Council of Independent Colleges in Virginia (CICV), which represents 28 accredited private colleges and universities, is encouraged to use this week to invite high school students and families to explore campus opportunities. The resolution also requires the Senate Clerk to transmit a copy of the resolution to CICV and post the week's designation on the General Assembly's website, thereby formally acknowledging the important role of private higher education in the Commonwealth.
