This bill establishes new certification requirements for contractors and workers performing fenestration (window and glass) installation, repair, or remodeling in public buildings in Oregon. Specifically, the bill requires that for public building projects involving $25 million or more in new construction or $5 million or more in renovation, contractors must have a national glazing contractor certification from Administrative Management Systems, Incorporated, and must demonstrate that at least 25 percent of their employees working on fenestration systems have a national certification as architectural glass and metal technicians.
