This bill aims to improve food services for children in child care through several key provisions. Under the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), the Department of Education will implement policies to increase access to healthy and culturally relevant foods, including raising the meal reimbursement rate by 10 cents compared to federal rates and equalizing reimbursement rates for family child care homes regardless of their tier classification.
