This bill amends Oregon Revised Statute 336.059 to expand child sexual abuse prevention instruction in schools by explicitly including sex trafficking of children as a form of sexual abuse. The bill declares an emergency, making the provisions effective July 1, 2025, and specifying that the amendments will first apply to the 2025-2026 school year, with the goal of providing students with critical knowledge and tools to prevent and report sexual abuse, including sex trafficking.
