This resolution commends the Lancaster High School boys' basketball team for winning the 2024 Virginia High School League (VHSL) Class 1 state championship. The resolution highlights the outstanding performance of junior forward Troy Henderson, who scored over 26 points per game and led the team with 30 points in the championship game. Additionally, three players - Troy Henderson, Lamar Mattocks, and Daveon Smith - were named to the VHSL Region 1A first team, and head coach Dwayne Pinn was named Region 1A coach of the year. The resolution recognizes the team's success as a result of the student-athletes' hard work, coaching leadership, and community support. As part of the resolution, the House of Delegates will prepare a copy to be presented to Coach Dwayne Pinn as an expression of admiration for the team's achievement.
