This bill establishes an open enrollment policy within Wyoming school districts, allowing students to enroll in any public school within their resident school district starting in the 2026-2027 school year. The bill requires school district boards of trustees to adopt policies that enable students to apply to attend schools in their district, with priority given to students who previously attended the school, live in the school's attendance area, participate in school-based education programs, or have siblings currently enrolled. School districts can decline enrollment if a school lacks capacity or if a student has been suspended or expelled.
