The database must be developed in consultation with multiple state agencies, including mental health, health, general services, labor, state, and financial services departments. The online resource will include detailed information about federal, state, and local government services and organizations, covering a wide range of topics such as veterans' benefits, healthcare, housing, employment, survivor benefits, substance use treatment, disability services, educational programs, tuition assistance, tax exemptions, suicide prevention, and peer support. The database will also include links to the department's various specialized portals and mobile application, and must be reviewed and updated at least annually. The bill will go into effect 180 days after becoming law, with preparations for the database's implementation able to begin immediately upon passage.
