Additionally, the bill refines the definition of "youth athletic activity" by clarifying that it refers to organized athletic activities where the majority of participants are under 19 years old, either competing against another team or practicing for such competition. The bill also specifies that youth athletic activities do not include college or university sports or activities that are incidental to non-athletic programs. This amendment aims to provide clearer guidance about who can be considered a healthcare provider in student athlete concussion-related matters and what constitutes a youth athletic activity.
