This resolution congratulates Terry Holder on his induction into the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame, highlighting his exceptional achievements as a baseball and football coach. Throughout his 30-year baseball and four-year football coaching career, Holder amassed an impressive record of 588-183 in baseball, ranking 13th in Georgia state history for total wins and becoming the first coach in the state to reach 500 career victories. He led teams to eight state championships, including a historic 29-0 season with Evans High School in 1989 that earned a national ranking and remains the last undefeated baseball team in Georgia history. Holder also served as the first head football coach at Greenbrier High School and has previously been inducted into multiple halls of fame, including the Georgia Athletic Coaches Association (GACA) and the Georgia Dugout Club. The resolution commends his leadership, character, and significant contributions to sports in Georgia, and directs the Secretary of the Senate to provide Holder with an official copy of the resolution as a formal recognition of his remarkable achievements.
