This bill amends the New York General Business Law to allow individuals to bring reusable beverage containers into sports venues with certain restrictions. Specifically, the bill defines a "reusable beverage container" as a drinking vessel primarily made of aluminum or stainless steel that is designed for multiple uses, and a "sports venue" as a building where professional or collegiate sporting competitions are held. Under the new law, sports venues cannot prohibit attendees from bringing in these reusable containers, but they may impose some limitations: the containers must be empty upon entry, may not have a cap, and cannot exceed 24 fluid ounces in capacity.
