This bill amends the Mobile Opportunity by Interstate Licensure Endorsement (MOBILE) Act to modify the criteria for license eligibility, specifically adding a new disqualification for dental professionals. Under the revised law, individuals seeking licensure in dental practice (under Chapter 466) will now be ineligible if they have not graduated from a dental school or dental hygiene college that is accredited by the American Dental Association Commission on Dental Accreditation (or its successor) or another dental program accrediting entity recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. This addition joins existing disqualifying factors such as having pending complaints in other jurisdictions, being convicted of felonies or misdemeanors related to healthcare professions, having a previously revoked or suspended healthcare license, or being reported to the National Practitioner Data Bank.
