Upon completing the study, the Commissioner must submit a formal report to the joint standing legislative committees responsible for general law and insurance, following the standard reporting procedures outlined in section 11-4a of the state's general statutes. The purpose of this study is to assess whether implementing a formal licensing and regulatory framework for title search professionals would help improve the accuracy, reliability, and professional standards of these critical real estate transaction services.
