This resolution recognizes and commends Claude J. Page III, a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated, for his significant community service and contributions. Page, who joined the fraternity in 1983 at Winston Salem State University, has been designated as the 2024 OMEGA MAN OF THE YEAR by the Chi Gamma Gamma Chapter, which serves North Fulton County and Cobb County. After retiring from Norfolk Southern railroad as a Locomotive Engineer, he has dedicated substantial time to mentorship programs, including the Chi Gamma Gamma 1911 League mentorship program in Cobb County elementary schools, the Men of Tapp mentorship program at Tapp Middle School, the Powder Springs Youth Foundation Summer Enrichment Camp, and the Omega STEM program. Additionally, Page is an alumni of the Cobb County Sheriff Citizens Academy and has been honored by the Cobb County Senior Citizens Council for his humanitarian efforts. The resolution formally recognizes Page's excellent, efficient, unselfish, and dedicated public service to the State of Georgia and directs the Senate Secretary to provide him with an official copy of the resolution.
