This concurrent resolution celebrates the remarkable achievement of the Richford Junior-Senior High School girls' soccer team in winning the 2024 Division IV state championship. As the 11th-seeded team in the playoffs, the Rockets defied expectations by defeating the top-ranked and previously undefeated West Rutland Golden Horde in an exciting championship game. After trailing 2-0 at halftime, the team staged an impressive comeback, scoring three goals in the second half while maintaining a strong defensive performance to ultimately win 3-2. The resolution specifically recognizes the 15 team members, including Vanessa Tessier and Keeley Long, as well as Head Coach Liza Bordo and her coaching staff for their outstanding accomplishment.
