This bill requires the New York State Department of Transportation (DOT) to modify its existing reporting requirements by expanding the list of recipients who will receive annual reports on highway and transit-related matters. Specifically, the bill adds the minority leaders of both the Senate and Assembly, as well as the ranking minority members of the Senate and Assembly transportation committees, the Senate finance committee, and the Assembly ways and means committee to the existing list of report recipients. These reports will continue to cover topics such as highway pavement and bridge conditions, capital program development and implementation, and non-MTA (Metropolitan Transportation Authority) transit capital programs for downstate suburban and upstate regions. The reports must be submitted in a searchable electronic format that is accessible to users, maintaining transparency and providing detailed information about the state's transportation infrastructure and capital investments. The bill will take effect immediately upon enactment.
