This bill provides a $15,567,000 appropriation from state bond proceeds to the Board of Trustees of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities for specific improvements at Minnesota West Community and Technical College. The funding will be used to design, renovate, and equip nursing and Peace Officer training spaces at the Granite Falls and Worthington campuses, as well as to design, renovate, and equip student services space at the Granite Falls campus. To secure these funds, the commissioner of management and budget is authorized to sell and issue state bonds up to the appropriated amount, following standard state bonding procedures outlined in Minnesota Statutes and the state constitution. The bill becomes effective immediately after its final enactment, enabling the college to proceed with these facility upgrades and improvements to its educational spaces.
