Specifically, members of the legislature must establish a clearly visible link titled "MY ANNUAL STATEMENT OF FINANCIAL DISCLOSURE" on the front page of their state websites, which will direct visitors to their most recent redacted and searchable financial disclosure form received from the legislative ethics commission. Similarly, candidates for legislative positions must create the same type of link on their campaign websites. The bill also mandates that these financial disclosure forms must be filed in a searchable format, with the legislative ethics commission required to make a searchable version of the annual statement available by January 1, 2026, and annually thereafter.
