This bill provides $18,120,000 in state bond funding to the Austin Port Authority for the construction, renovation, and equipping of the Minnesota BioImaging Center, which is part of the Hormel Institute's collaborative biomedical and cancer research initiative with the University of Minnesota and Mayo Clinic. The bill authorizes the commissioner of management and budget to sell and issue state bonds to fund this project, following standard state bonding procedures outlined in Minnesota Statutes sections 16A.631 to 16A.675 and in accordance with the Minnesota Constitution's provisions on state borrowing.
