The department will be required to report its recommendations to the State Board of Education, House and Senate Education Committees, and the PEER Committee by December 14th each year. These provisions are designed to help school districts become more efficient, transparent, and effective in their operations by providing standardized tools, templates, and guidance across technology, personnel management, nutrition services, accounting, and transportation. The bill will take effect on July 1, 2025, giving school districts and the Department of Education time to prepare for these new requirements.
